Manufacturing Engineering Intern (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Learn and apply engineering design and drafting standards.
• Prepare design calculations, spreadsheets, reports, drawings, and sketches for engineering projects.
• Support conceptual process engineering designs and studies to identify efficient solutions.
• Assist engineers and technicians with manufacturing and project goals related to safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
• Perform routine engineering tasks for less complex assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods under direct supervision.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering at an accredited university.
• Sophomore standing or above with at least 30 credits.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to work on-site in Miamisburg, Ohio.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to Department of Energy requirements.
• Leadership experience in campus life or extracurricular activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Prior co-op experience.
• Familiarity with manufacturing engineering principles, including cycle time analysis, process instructions, layout calculations, Kaizen, and lean practices.
• Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
