Expert Developer – Data Analytics & Data Engineering (Azure)

Location: Hybrid in Budapest, Hungary; remote working is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulation.

What you will do

• Design IT platforms, processes, and organizational structures for an evolving Azure-based Lakehouse.
• Develop sustainable architectures, prototype solutions, and evaluate new technologies.
• Work with Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Event Hubs, and related Azure technologies.
• Support engineering teams with platform architecture development and coach them toward independent solution design.
• Ensure data protection and security when handling business-critical and personal data.
• Establish platform architecture principles, patterns, and best practices collaboratively.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering architecture.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Delta Lake on Azure services.
• Experience migrating traditional data warehouse solutions to modern data platforms such as Lakehouse and Delta Lake.
• Degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience with modern data platform and data warehousing architectures, including data lake storage organization and architecture.
• Solid understanding of relational and multidimensional database systems.
• Proficiency in Kimball, Inmon, and Data Vault data warehouse modeling methods.
• Experience developing data pipelines with Spark Structured Streaming and Delta Lake.
• Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, and Spark.

Nice to have

• Experience with reporting, analytics, and dashboarding.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Knowledge of BI solutions using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Azure Synapse, Azure Logic Apps, and Power BI.
• Experience with Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Microsoft certifications including DP-900, DP-100, DP-203, DP-300, AI-900, AZ-900, or DP-420.
