Bilingual High School Job Center Coordinator - Spanish

Location: Hybrid role based at a high school in Columbus, Ohio, United States, with occasional travel to community partners, employer sites, or other workforce development offices. Flexible scheduling may include occasional evenings or weekends.

What you will do

• Provide individualized career counseling, career pathway planning, employment services, job-search support, and job-readiness training to high school students.
• Assess student needs, skills, interests, competencies, and employment barriers; develop and monitor Individualized Service Plans and participation agreements.
• Determine eligibility and enroll eligible students in relevant WIOA, AMP, and other workforce programs; provide ongoing case management and referrals.
• Build relationships with local employers and connect students with internships, part-time jobs, job shadowing, pre-apprenticeships, and apprenticeships.
• Collaborate with school counselors, teachers, administrators, career navigators, community partners, and workforce service teams on academic and employment goals.
• Deliver workshops and presentations, maintain case documentation and job-center resources, track outcomes, and prepare performance and compliance reports.

Requirements

• Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish is required. Ability to conduct conversations, present information, and draft communications in both languages.
• 1–3 years of experience in workforce development, career counseling, or a related area.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with high school students, school staff, employers, community organizations, and education partners.
• Knowledge of career counseling techniques and workforce development practices.
• Familiarity with WIOA regulations and guidelines, including eligibility criteria and reporting requirements.
• Ability to build and maintain employer, community, and education-partner relationships.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail in managing case files and documentation.
• Proficiency with workforce development databases such as ARIES or similar systems for data entry and tracking.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of personally identifiable information and obtain parental or guardian permission when required.
