TL;DR
Chief Accountant (Accounting/IFRS): Managing daily accounting operations and local-entity financial reporting in compliance with Polish legislation, IFRS, and internal controls, with an accent on month-end close, tax filings, payroll, and audit support. Focus on coordinating reconciliations and payments, preparing VAT and CIT returns, and maintaining accurate consolidation reporting.

What you will do

  • Manage daily accounting operations for the local entity in accordance with local legislation, IFRS, and best practices.
  • Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries, and coordinate with the Accounting Manager.
  • Control and approve payroll, invoice, tax, and other payments.
  • Prepare VAT, CIT, fiscal returns, and required financial declarations and reports.
  • Manage payroll processing and reporting into the consolidation system.
  • Support audits, liaise with external auditors, and monitor adherence to internal controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience working as a Chief Accountant.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills and good accounting software skills.
  • Very good knowledge of tax and labor code legislation.
  • Ability to set priorities and remain flexible when necessary.
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, with a commitment to learning and development.
  • Punctuality and ability to meet deadlines.
