Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Own and evolve AWS environments managed as infrastructure as code with CloudFormation.
• Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for safe and rapid delivery from commit to production.
• Develop Datadog observability, including monitoring, alerting, dashboards, metrics, logging, and tracing.
• Strengthen security through IAM, least privilege, encryption, network boundaries, and controls supporting the SOC2 program.
• Automate environment provisioning, deployments, and operational tasks; troubleshoot production issues across containers, runtimes, databases, and networks.
• Support Amazon RDS SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, participate in on-call and incident response, lead postmortems, optimize cost and performance, and mentor engineers on operational excellence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering with deep hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code skills; CloudFormation is used, while Terraform or similar experience is transferable.
• Experience building and running CI/CD pipelines for production systems.
• Experience with observability tooling, including metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and selecting meaningful signals.
• Solid cloud security knowledge covering IAM, encryption, network design, and least-privilege principles.
• Experience running containerized workloads with Docker and Amazon ECS on Fargate.
• Hands-on experience operating relational databases in production.
• Comfort with at least one scripting language and modern AI development tools, with discipline to verify shipped work.
• Strong judgment under pressure, clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, willingness to share on-call responsibilities, and commitment to root-cause resolution and continued learning.

• GitLab CI experience.
• Experience supporting SOC2 or similar compliance programs.
• Kubernetes experience.
• Experience operating SQL Server and PostgreSQL on AWS.
• Experience debugging Elixir/BEAM or JVM services.
