What you will do

  • Lead architecture and design of enterprise compute and hypervisor platforms across hardware, operating systems, virtualization, cloud orchestration, and container orchestration layers.
  • Define standards and automation frameworks for bare-metal provisioning, lifecycle management, BMaaS, server imaging, firmware management, patching, and hardware validation.
  • Design Kubernetes platforms on bare metal with QoS and affinity, including ArgoCD-based operations.
  • Architect automated Ubuntu and Harvester deployments and PXE-based provisioning using Redfish APIs.
  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and automation with Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Git, Python, and Bash, including CI/CD pipelines for updates, upgrades, testing, and rollback.
  • Produce technical designs and operational documentation, troubleshoot storage, Kubernetes, hypervisor, networking, and Linux issues, and collaborate with operations, network, storage, platform, and SRE teams on production readiness and on-call escalation.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps focused on compute system design.
  • Experience designing and automating bare-metal compute environments at scale, including PXE boot, network-based operating-system provisioning, automated server imaging, and BMaaS platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Redfish APIs for hardware provisioning, power management, and remote lifecycle operations.
  • Deep enterprise experience with Ubuntu Linux and KVM hypervisors, including SUSE Harvester and OpenStack.
  • Experience designing and deploying production-grade Kubernetes clusters on bare metal.
  • Experience with Cisco UCS, Dell PowerEdge, Supermicro, and HPE enterprise compute hardware platforms.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible, CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation, and scripting with Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Ability to produce clear, structured technical design documentation; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to translate complex cross-domain requirements into scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure and automation solutions, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Nice to have

  • OpenStack and Ubuntu KVM administration experience.
  • BareMetal as a Service experience with PXE and Redfish, and Kubernetes on bare metal.
  • CIS/NIST security and infrastructure lifecycle management experience.
  • ITIL Foundation or advanced certification.
  • Background in telecommunications, edge cloud, or large enterprise environments.
  • Ubuntu certifications, CNCF Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
  • Master’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience and relevant industry certifications are also considered.

Culture & Benefits

  • Collaborative team focused on infrastructure excellence, continuous learning, innovation, and technical quality.
  • Opportunity to work on complex technical challenges and a next-generation private-cloud platform.
  • Access to current tools, frameworks, and upstream project developments.
