Staff TDI Site Reliability Engineer (Okta Federal)

Location: Washington, DC, hybrid

Annual base salary: $174,000–$239,000 USD

What you will do

• Operate and maintain enterprise-grade solutions in air-gapped and secure facility environments.
• Build, run, and monitor development tools, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines without internet connectivity.
• Design and implement cloud-based engineering enablement systems using a security-first approach.
• Maintain SLOs, SLIs, runbooks, and incident response procedures without relying on external monitoring or SaaS tools.
• Support POA&M remediation, recurring Authority to Operate activities, and mission-critical services.
• Promote SRE and DevOps practices while supporting internal engineering customers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Automation Engineer, or Systems Engineer delivering complex infrastructure projects at scale.
• Experience with container orchestration and runtimes, including EKS, ECS Fargate, and general container technologies.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Python automation, and secure software development practices.
• Experience with Splunk, CloudWatch, Grafana, and related monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as BGP and IPsec, plus AWS VPCs, transit gateways, and VPC endpoints.
• Active U.S. TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph required.

Nice to have

• Linux system administration experience.
• Experience with secure and compliant environments such as FedRAMP, including FIPS, STIG, and data boundary implementations.
• Experience operating tools and services in air-gapped environments.
