Staff TDI Site Reliability Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Washington, DC; hybrid work. An active U.S. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, and work may take place in secure facilities and air-gapped environments.

Annual base salary: $174,000–$239,000 USD. The range applies to candidates located in California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain enterprise-grade solutions in air-gapped environments and secure facilities.
• Build, run, and monitor development tools, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines without internet connectivity.
• Design and implement cloud-based engineering enablement systems and support mission-critical services used by product teams.
• Maintain SLOs and SLIs without external monitoring or SaaS tooling, and own runbooks and incident response procedures.
• Participate in POA&M remediation and support recurring Authority to Operate activities.
• Advocate for SRE and DevOps practices while delivering internal customer support.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Automation Engineer, or Systems Engineer, with experience delivering complex infrastructure projects at scale.
• Experience with container orchestration and runtime environments, including EKS, ECS Fargate, and general container usage.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation with Terraform and development of automation tools with Python, using secure software development practices.
• Experience with monitoring tools, especially Splunk, CloudWatch, and the Grafana stack.
• Experience with networking concepts including BGP and IPsec management, plus AWS networking services such as VPCs, TGWs, and VPC endpoints.
• Active U.S. TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• The selected candidate may be subject to drug testing as required by U.S. Government contracts.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Linux system administration.
• Experience operating tools and services in secure and compliant environments such as FedRAMP, including FIPS, STIG, and data boundary implementations.
• Experience operating tools and services in air-gapped environments.
