Field PR Specialist

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States; hybrid work arrangement.

Salary: $52,720–$79,080 per year. Geographic-specific pay structures may apply, including $58,000–$87,000 and $60,640–$90,960.

What you will do

• Create and execute communication strategies and tactics that support hirify.global, its financial advisors, and field offices.
• Conduct proactive media outreach across local, regional, trade, and national outlets while building relationships with media contacts and advisors.
• Create and distribute messaging documents, media pitches, news releases, media alerts, and other compelling materials.
• Develop multimedia thought leadership content for social media, websites, and newsletters.
• Serve as a client-facing contact for advisor teams and respond to their communications needs.
• Manage inquiries to the general media line and report media activity to leadership.

Requirements

• At least 2–3 years of experience in professional communication, public relations, organizational communications, marketing, training, or a related communications field.
• Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or social sciences.
• Ability to build rapport with business partners and colleagues, provide counsel, and develop productive working relationships at all levels.
• Curiosity and versatility to learn about and work with a variety of business areas and topics.
• Strong presentation, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate effectively by phone, email, and in person.
• Firm understanding of the news cycle, news media landscape, and characteristics of a newsworthy story.
• Ability to solve problems on behalf of PR clients.
• Solid experience with digital and social media, content creation, PR metrics, and analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, proofreading, content management, media writing, public relations, thought leadership, writing, and editing skills.
