Public Relations Intern - Winter 2027

Location: Hybrid in Richmond, Virginia, with in-office work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and remote work Monday and Friday; strong candidates may be considered for a remote internship.

What you will do

• Build and maintain media lists using Muck Rack or similar platforms.
• Conduct media outreach and support interviews, coverage opportunities, and thought leadership placements.
• Monitor news and industry trends to identify timely media opportunities.
• Support campaigns raising awareness of long-term care challenges and solutions.
• Coordinate media interviews and contribute to daily media relations activities.
• Track, measure, and analyze earned media coverage and campaign performance.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with media or influencer trends.
• Organized, adaptable, and eager to contribute in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with earned or social media.
• Prior internship experience.
