Senior Software Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript)

What you will do

• Build and own full-stack features for the live call experience using Node.js and TypeScript across server and client.
• Develop and maintain services for real-time sessions, including signaling, connectivity, and media routing.
• Own production operations through monitoring, resilience improvements, alerting, and incident response.
• Learn and apply WebRTC and real-time media constraints to advance the product.
• Use AI tools in design, development, and debugging.
• Gradually work with native C/C++ code where performance requires it.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with strong full-stack skills in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building and running production systems, ideally real-time or high-scale systems, with responsibility for resilience and monitoring.
• Solid networking fundamentals, including TCP/UDP, DNS, TLS, certificates, and deployed service behavior such as Kubernetes networking.
• Pragmatic, hands-on engineering approach.
• Experience working effectively in a remote team.
• High ambition, willingness to learn, and strong interest in real-time audio and video.

Nice to have

• Background in networking or network security products, WebRTC, or C/C++.
