Sr. Manager, Materials Management - Memphis

Location: Southaven, MS; Memphis, TN. Based in Memphis, TN and requires onsite work; remote work is not considered. Must be able to work all shifts, extended hours, weekends as needed, and provide 24/7 on-call support in emergencies. Domestic travel may be required up to 20%.

What you will do

• Support operational targets for fulfillment, distribution, and storage centers serving data center operations.
• Develop business strategy, metrics, and goals based on operational processes and business needs.
• Lead a multi-level organization across four shift patterns supporting 24/7 operations, including performance management, feedback, conflict resolution, and corrective actions.
• Monitor and improve safety, quality, customer service, cost efficiency, and process performance, including compliance with OSHA, AS9100, and customer flow-down requirements.
• Manage shelf-life storage, FIFO stock rotation, environmental controls, and internal and external storage of non-SpaceX part numbers.
• Mentor and develop employees while adapting materials-management operations to changing organizational needs.

Requirements

• One of the following experience and education combinations is required: an advanced degree and 4+ years of experience, a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience, or 10+ years of experience.
• Required experience must be in one or more of the following areas: material or production planning, purchasing, distribution, operations or supply chain management, material cost control, or master production scheduling.
• The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying.
• The role requires availability for all shifts, extended hours, weekends as needed, and 24/7 emergency on-call support.
• The role requires onsite work in Memphis, TN; remote work is not considered.

Nice to have

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Experience in aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing.
• Experience with capital planning and management.
