Network Engineer

Location: Hybrid, onsite 4 days per week in Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; or Alexandria, VA, United States.

Base compensation: $84,000–$115,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, cloud networking, and remote connectivity services.
• Administer Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama, Meraki, Zscaler, Infoblox, VPN, DNS, DHCP, NAC, IPAM, and network segmentation services.
• Support Azure Virtual Networks, peering, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, DNS integration, network security groups, and hybrid connectivity.
• Implement network security controls, zero-trust access models, segmentation, traffic filtering, secure remote access, and vulnerability remediation.
• Configure monitoring, alerting, dashboards, telemetry, escalation procedures, lifecycle management, disaster recovery readiness, and operational documentation.
• Provide tier-four troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for outages, connectivity, DNS, routing, firewall, and application performance issues; support acquisitions, integrations, change management, and operational governance.

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise network infrastructure services.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching technologies in complex multi-site environments.
• Experience administering Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama management platforms.
• Experience with Meraki switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and cloud-managed infrastructure.
• Experience with Zscaler Internet Access, Zscaler Private Access, or similar secure access service edge technologies.
• Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, network segmentation, routing protocols, wireless networking, VPN connectivity, network security, encryption, access control, and secure infrastructure design.
• Experience supporting Azure networking services, including virtual networks, peering, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, network security groups, and hybrid connectivity architectures.
• Experience using Wireshark and enterprise observability or network monitoring platforms.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, infrastructure, security, application, and endpoint environments.
• Strong documentation, communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work across technical and business teams.
• Experience with ITSM, change management, incident response, operational governance, and compliance processes.
• Comfort with onsite collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.

Nice to have

• CCNA or CCNP; Palo Alto PCNSA or PCNSE; Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate AZ-700; Meraki or Zscaler certifications; CompTIA Network+; CISSP, Security+, or other relevant security certifications.
