Head of Program Management (Medical Devices)

Location: Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States. Onsite work in an office and clean manufacturing environment; moderate noise, PPE and cleanroom apparel may be required. Some travel is required.

Salary: $145,000–$165,000 USD per year, salaried.

What you will do

• Manage and organize the Program Management team, including planning, workload monitoring and work organization.
• Coordinate Project Management activities through KPIs and ensure project documentation complies with the NPI process.
• Drive plant project profitability with the finance controller and lead project risk identification and mitigation plans.
• Prepare technical responses for plant requests for quotation and support sales with technology plans, layouts, timelines, project governance and industrial risk assessments.
• Organize the local Program Steering Committee and coordinate input for global program tracking.
• Define recruitment and training needs, assess performance, manage onboarding and support lean and continuous improvement initiatives while following safety procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of program management or project management experience and 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams within a transversal organization.
• Experience with direct customer contact.
• Strong leadership, convincing and communication abilities.
• Ability to listen to customer expectations; teamwork-oriented and self-motivated.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Experience managing industrialization projects for mass production using plastic injection and high-speed assembly technologies.
• Background in medical devices, the pharmaceutical industry or mass-production industries such as automotive.
