Senior Privacy Consultant (Privacy Compliance)

Location: Virtual, Illinois, United States; occasional travel to a physical office may be required. Applicants must be US citizens and have US work authorization without requiring current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Support the Head of Privacy and privacy team in managing the global privacy program.
• Manage third-party vendor privacy risk assessments and conduct Records of Processing Activities.
• Manage the Global Privacy Office mailbox, research root causes, and document responses to privacy questions and complaints according to applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Support implementation, monitoring, and testing of the global privacy controls framework.
• Develop and coordinate organizational records management practices and procedures.
• Support Privacy Impact Assessments, reporting, policy and process development, privacy championing, and collaboration across business and functional areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience dedicated to privacy, data security, and/or compliance.
• IAPP certification, or willingness to obtain one within six months of employment.
• Knowledge of international, federal, and state privacy and data security laws and regulations, including CCPA, HIPAA, and GDPR.
• US citizenship is required; proof must be provided at the time of hire.
• Experience with privacy, data governance, and service management platforms such as OneTrust, Ketch, Viso, and ServiceNow.
• Ability to build internal and external relationships and collaborate on a global scale.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, collaborate effectively, and consistently attend to important details.
