Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Indirect Procurement)

Location: Mettawa, Illinois, United States; hybrid, with 3+ days in the office per week. Minimal travel required. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. The position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $66,500–$95,750 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Research suppliers, analyze markets, identify and qualify potential suppliers, and support indirect category strategies.
• Develop and administer RFPs and RFQs, evaluate proposals and supplier capabilities, and recommend sourcing decisions.
• Negotiate pricing, service levels, availability, deliverables, and other commercial terms to improve total cost of ownership.
• Create and review purchase orders, process designated invoices in Oracle, and resolve issues affecting supplier payment.
• Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships across logistics, corporate travel, vehicles, real estate, and corporate card programs.
• Monitor supplier performance and KPIs, build business cases, track benefits, and lead continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, procurement, or a closely related discipline.
• Specific experience in Corporate Travel, Vehicles, or Logistics.
• Experience supporting indirect categories, sourcing events, supplier negotiations, or procurement operations.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and translate findings into business recommendations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience working in an ERP system.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated accuracy, accountability, collaboration, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience in corporate travel, logistics, vehicle procurement, or vehicle leasing.
• Experience with Oracle.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
• CPSM or CPM certification.
• Experience reviewing contracts.
