District Trade and Customs Compliance Manager (Logistics)

Location: 250 S. High Street, 43215 Columbus, OH, United States; full-time, onsite district role.

What you will do

• Promote a consistent, solutions-oriented trade compliance culture across district branches and maintain collaborative relationships with branch, district, regional, and product teams.
• Deliver training, serve as an instructor for at least 50% of annual training credits, assess branch personnel, and escalate training or file-review deficiencies.
• Monitor import and export compliance workflows, run daily, weekly, and monthly reports, identify anomalies, and implement preventive and detection controls.
• Escalate and remediate non-compliance, provide updates on performance and regulatory changes, and support corrective-action plans.
• Stay current on trade compliance laws, regulations, directives, audit findings, and emerging issues while serving as a district compliance resource.
• Support branch and customer meetings and train, review, and potentially audit high-risk service providers on their compliance commitments.

Requirements

• Passion for trade compliance and doing the right thing.
• Proficiency in English and one local language spoken in the district.
• At least three years with hirify.global or similar experience in the trade and customs field.
• Understanding of applicable trade compliance laws and regulations.
• Training in sanctioned and embargoed countries, denied-party screening, and export-controls awareness under U.S. law and the laws of jurisdictions implementing U.N. sanctions.
• No objection to a background check, as permitted by applicable law.
• Passing score on the IATA/FIATA examination and DG certification(s).
• Security protocol training such as C-TPAT, AEO, STP, or another applicable protocol.
• Product- or service-specific export, import, and/or operational training or certification, including existing or anticipated certifications or future DTCM certification.
• U.S. Customs Broker license or a similar non-U.S. country license where available.
