Location: Chicago, United States; salary range applicable in California and varying by location in Colorado, Illinois, and New York

Salary: $100,000–$145,000 annually in California; compensation may vary by location

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive IAM solutions across multiple domains using Okta and Okta Workflows.
• Apply authentication and authorization protocols and best practices in data-rich environments.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate IAM-related security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to promote IAM awareness and integrate IAM best practices into operational processes.
• Help protect precision medicine methodologies, genomic data, cloud infrastructure, workflows, and client and patient information.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in IT Security and at least 2 years of experience in IAM Engineering.
• Extensive experience with Okta and Okta Workflows.
• Practical experience with authentication and authorization protocols and a strong understanding of IAM principles, frameworks, and technologies.
• Experience with SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, LDAP, SOAP, REST, and SCIM.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and GitHub.
• Strong skills in identifying, assessing, and mitigating IAM-related security risks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on authentication and authorization issues.
• Excellent project management skills for overseeing and driving IAM initiatives.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex technical security concepts clearly.
• Knowledge of information security risk management frameworks and compliance practices, including ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2, and NIST 800-30.
