Staff Information Security Engineer (IAM)

Location: Remote within the United States; travel to the annual All Team Meeting and occasional other meetings may be required.

Salary: $131,600–$249,780 annually; location-specific ranges include $151,340–$249,780 for listed higher-pay jurisdictions and $131,600–$217,200 for all other locations.

What you will do

• Manage, improve, monitor, and maintain identity access management and information security programs.
• Execute security initiatives across infrastructure, products, and data, including designing and implementing security controls.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Software Development, and application developers to integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Monitor and analyze security events, respond to breaches and incoming threats, and identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to strategic security planning, risk management, compliance, threat preparedness, and security awareness training.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years with Identity Access Management and 5+ years of hands-on technical engineering experience.
• Experience with modern IAM platforms such as Okta, AWS, Azure AD/Entra ID, Auth0, and/or Ping Identity.
• Strong understanding of OAuth, SAML, OIDC, LDAP, cryptography, authentication, authorization, secrets management, data security, web technology, and cloud security.
• Experience configuring IAM solutions for API, web, and web authentication use cases.
• Experience building, supporting, and securing AWS-based cloud web infrastructure.
• DevSecOps experience with relevant technologies such as Git, Docker, Windows, SIEM, AWS Security products, and Terraform.
• Knowledge of web application security best practices, secure coding practices, and security frameworks including OWASP, NIST, and CIS.
• Understanding of security threats and their prevention, software engineering and deployment practices including CI/CD pipelines and SCM, and application security assessments.
• Ability to lead problem-solving and risk management initiatives, communicate complex information clearly, document comprehensively, drive projects, collaborate cross-functionally, mentor peers, and maintain current technical expertise.

• Experience with HITRUST, HIPAA, and/or PCI-regulated environments.
