Product Manager (Payments Risk & Compliance)

hirify.global provides property management software and an integrated payments engine for rent, deposit, and fee payments across multiple property types.

What you will do

• Own the risk and compliance strategy, roadmap, and execution across existing and new payment products from concept through launch and scale.
• Lead a cross-functional product pod spanning engineering, design, marketing, operations, and analytics without direct people-management responsibility.
• Write PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, edge cases, data requirements, non-functional requirements, and compliance controls for sprint execution.
• Use AI tools for product discovery and drafting while validating outputs with product judgment.
• Lead payment risk capability launches through discovery, business cases, requirements, build, testing, rollout, training, and post-launch measurement.
• Partner with Marketing, GTM, Operations, Legal, and Compliance on positioning, adoption, resilience, scalability, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or related technology businesses, including ownership of risk and compliance initiatives across product lines.
• End-to-end product management experience from discovery and strategy through delivery, commercialization, and iterative optimization.
• Experience leading cross-functional pods or squads with engineering, design, marketing, and operations in an AI-driven environment, using influence without formal reporting lines.
• Hands-on risk and compliance expertise in payments or fintech, including areas such as fraud prevention, KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, disputes and chargebacks, or ACH and card compliance.
• Working knowledge of consumer financial regulation and BSA/AML.
• Experience authoring implementation-ready PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria, including Given/When/Then scenarios, edge cases, non-functional requirements, and compliance controls.
• Experience working with internal teams to inform roadmaps, co-create solutions, and support go-to-market and adoption.
• Experience integrating third-party identity verification, fraud, and KYC/AML decisioning platforms into existing or legacy systems.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills for technical teams, commercial teams, and executive stakeholders; an owner mindset and strong collaborative influence.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with NACHA, card network rules, Regulation E, and PCI DSS.
• Experience with property management, real estate technology, or proptech.
• Knowledge of card, ACH, cash/offline, and digital wallet payment flows and payment economics.
