Senior .NET Engineer (.NET)

Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid model with office attendance required for a minimum of 60% of working time over a 12-week period. A 28-day work-from-abroad policy is available.

Salary: £85,000–£95,000 per year.

What you will do

• Shape technical decisions and help the team make effective engineering choices.
• Build and maintain insurance and protection products such as hirify.global Flex and Trip Cover.
• Own work from coding through production deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
• Coach and mentor engineers while collaborating with frontend engineers and other disciplines.
• Identify and remove blockers, inefficiencies, and waste while maintaining and improving code quality.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET, including recent features.
• Experience building and operating microservices and event-driven systems, with a solid understanding of distributed systems and scale.
• Comfortable working with AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with observability and production reliability, using New Relic, ELK, or equivalent tools.
• Experience with identity and authentication, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, or IdentityServer.
• Clear communication and the ability to work collaboratively through pair programming, mentoring, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or GCP.
• Curiosity about AI and emerging tools.
