Agile Scrum Master (SAFe)

Location: Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, United States; onsite. U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to obtain a Federal Secret security clearance; active clearance preferred.

What you will do

• Coach and lead Agile teams operating within a Scaled Agile Framework environment.
• Facilitate PI Planning breakout sessions, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, demonstrations, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Track and remove impediments, manage cross-team dependencies, and coordinate resolution with organizational stakeholders.
• Develop Agile delivery metrics, perform capacity planning, and support staffing and resource alignment for Epics and Features.
• Coordinate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Release Train Engineers, architects, cybersecurity specialists, internal teams, and third parties.
• Support product roadmaps, release activities, process improvement, product quality, and timely completion of team commitments.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Federal Secret security clearance are required; active clearance is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus at least seven years of related professional experience.
• Certified ScrumMaster or Certified SAFe Scrum Master certification.
• Significant experience coaching and supporting Scrum teams, including at least three years leading teams using Agile Scrum or a Scaled Agile approach.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and SAFe principles, practices, and ceremonies.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including planning, development, requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, testing, and release management.
• Experience facilitating sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, demonstrations, and PI Planning activities, as well as managing dependencies and removing delivery impediments.
• Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving, ability to work with clients to understand their needs, strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and professional presence.

Nice to have

• SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner, or another Scaled Agile certification.
• Experience with continuous deployment models, Agile Release Trains, Release Train Engineers, Agile team metrics, capacity planning, dependency management, product roadmaps, and release planning.
• Experience applying advanced Agile principles, refining Agile processes, and participating in or leading Agile Communities of Practice.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, strong customer and vendor relationship skills, and experience complying with data standards and policies.
• Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies, past experience with a federal government agency, and Department of War experience.
