Accounting Manager (SaaS)

Location: New York City, New York, USA; based in the New York City area and working onsite 4 days a week at the Hudson Square office.

Salary: $145K–$180K annually, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end month-end close, improving cycle time and accuracy while reducing manual work and external support.
• Manage revenue recognition under ASC 606, deferred revenue, usage-based billing, billing-to-ledger reconciliations, and variance resolution.
• Own the order-to-cash lifecycle, including accounts receivable, collections, DSO management, and development of the AR function.
• Oversee accounts payable, vendor payments, expense management, payroll review, and equity and stock-based compensation accounting.
• Lead financial-statement and 401(k) audit preparation, the PBC process, sales-tax compliance, and multi-state payroll compliance.
• Design scalable processes and controls, support ERP migration, implement automation, mentor team members, and coordinate with external accounting partners.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle ownership across order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report.
• Strong command of US GAAP and revenue recognition under ASC 606, with the ability to independently own the close.
• Experience at a high-growth technology or SaaS company, ideally with usage-based or consumption billing models.
• Proficiency with modern ERP and billing systems and advanced spreadsheet skills.
• Experience supporting or preparing for a financial-statement audit.
• Experience building and documenting scalable processes and controls and automating manual work.
• High ownership, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a lean, fast-paced environment.
• Residence in the New York City area and availability to work onsite 4 days a week.

Nice to have

• Active CPA.
• Big 4 or public accounting background.
• ERP implementation experience.
• Multi-entity or international accounting experience.
• Comfort working directly with data, including SQL.
