Supply Chain Planning Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Morton, Illinois, United States; onsite five days a week. Required travel is less than 10% domestically and internationally. No relocation assistance is offered. US work sponsorship is not offered.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end supply chain projects and strategic improvement initiatives from scoping through implementation and closeout.
• Develop project plans, milestones, governance routines, communications, and success measures while tracking dependencies, risks, decisions, and progress.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, internal functions, business partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver project outcomes.
• Use business needs, data analysis, performance metrics, industry benchmarks, and expected business value to identify and prioritize opportunities.
• Develop business cases, evaluate ROI, support investment decisions, manage risks, and allocate resources.
• Lead implementation and change activities, measure KPIs, validate outcomes, capture lessons learned, and establish sustainable improvements across suppliers, product groups, and business areas.

Requirements

• Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and the ability to measure work quality and quantity for improvement.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques and tools, including root-cause analysis and development of alternative solutions.
• Ability to lead cross-team collaboration, coordinate work across divisions, and solve problems with employees from multiple functions.
• Knowledge of decision-making processes and critical-thinking tools; ability to reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Knowledge of project-management strategies and tactics, including planning, organizing, monitoring, and controlling projects and resources.
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures and the ability to design, implement, and evaluate SOPs for operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of processes and methods for managing supplier relationships and transactions involving raw materials or product components.
• Knowledge of supply chain functions, principles, techniques, strategies, practices, and tools for controlling logistical processes.
