Associate, Private Credit

Location: London, United Kingdom; at least four full days each week in the advertised office.

What you will do

• Prepare credit theses and detailed proposals for senior secured loans and fixed- and floating-rate high-yield bonds.
• Analyze companies, industries, capital structures, cash flows, collateral, management teams, lenders, sponsors, and restructuring considerations.
• Present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee and develop entry and exit yield views.
• Build coverage across 2–3 industries, monitor 25–30 loan and bond positions, and identify relative value and buy/sell/hold opportunities.
• Participate in management meetings, site visits, plant tours, due diligence, market discussions, and documentation reviews.
• Support workouts, restructurings, stressed and secondary opportunities, credit records, compliance reporting, collateral records, and exposure reporting.

Requirements

• Experience as a credit, leveraged finance, or corporate finance analyst in buy-side, sell-side, rating agency, private equity, consulting, or a similar environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong analytical, financial modelling, quantitative, and qualitative assessment skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, solution-oriented approach with integrity and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• CFA qualification.
• Additional European language skills.
