Senior/Lead Project Manager

Location: Remote in Bulgaria

What you will do

• Plan, manage, and control the scope, budget, and timeline of medium to large software delivery projects.
• Serve as the main day-to-day client contact and own the project-level client relationship.
• Negotiate scope, priorities, timelines, and change requests with client stakeholders.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and technical issues in collaboration with technical leads.
• Allocate work, manage workload, and keep distributed cross-functional teams aligned, motivated, and productive.
• Run Agile ceremonies, improve delivery processes, provide status and budget reporting, and support team-member development; at Lead level, mentor other PMs and contribute to delivery standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of project management experience in a software development environment, including at least 3 years in client-facing roles at a service company or agency.
• Strong technical understanding of architecture, integrations, APIs, environments, release processes, technical estimates, and technical risks.
• Strong command of Agile/Scrum and hybrid delivery setups.
• Proven ownership of scope, timeline, and budget for medium to large projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously.
• Experience leading distributed teams across countries and time zones.
• Excellent stakeholder management, including with senior client contacts, and strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to remain calm and constructive during escalations and difficult conversations.
• Clear, structured verbal and written communication.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office.
• English proficiency at B2+ with confident spoken English for client calls.

Nice to have

• Previous Delivery Manager experience, with readiness to work hands-on at project level.
• Technical background as an engineer, business analyst, or QA professional.
• Relevant domain experience.
• Previous experience managing Data Engineering or Data Science projects.
• Hands-on use of AI tooling in delivery.
• Professional PM certification such as PMP, PSM, or PRINCE2.
