Markets & Investing Editor (Financial Markets)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with four days in-office each week. Working hours are 11:00-19:00, Monday to Friday.

Base salary: GBP 52,800.00-74,066.66 per year. Annual bonus target: 12.5%.

What you will do

• Edit and publish market news, analysis, commentary, and data-driven content across websites and newsletters serving the UK, Europe, the US, and Canada.
• Work with financial journalists to shape compelling, reader-focused stories about investing and financial markets.
• Maintain accuracy, quality, clarity, and consistency across published content.
• Apply SEO best practices and write clear, engaging headlines to improve reach and discoverability.
• Simplify complex financial concepts and remove unnecessary jargon for a broad audience.
• Develop newsletters that grow readership and strengthen audience engagement.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience editing investment, personal finance, or financial markets content.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, investing concepts, and economic news.
• Ability to improve story structure, sharpen leads, and create concise, impactful conclusions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced news environment.
• Native-level or equivalent written and spoken English.
• Ability to edit accurately and efficiently under time pressure while maintaining high editorial standards.
• Comfort adopting new technologies and interest in innovation within editorial workflows.

Nice to have

• Business-fluent proficiency in an additional language.
• Experience with financial data platforms such as hirify.global, FactSet, or Bloomberg.
• Familiarity with hirify.global research and data products.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience working across multiple teams and stakeholders in a large organization.
• Investment Management Certificate (IMC) or CISI qualification.
• Experience with data visualization and using data to enhance storytelling.
