Advisor, Supervision- Advertising Review (Financial Services)

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States; hybrid workstyle; less than 25% travel.

What you will do

• Review complex and escalated advertising, marketing, social media, and communications materials for regulatory and firm-policy compliance.
• Research supervisory and regulatory questions and provide practical, well-supported guidance to financial advisors and business partners.
• Oversee and support supervision programs, quality assurance activities, controls, policies, procedures, and training for assigned business areas.
• Identify emerging trends, recurring issues, control gaps, and potential regulatory or firm risk, escalating matters when appropriate.
• Partner with Supervision, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Home Office departments, and other business areas to resolve complex matters.
• Prepare recommendations, presentations, and training; support regulatory inquiries or examinations; and coach less experienced associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of Compliance, Supervision, or relevant financial services experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
• Required knowledge of SEC, FINRA, and applicable state securities rules governing broker-dealer advertising, marketing, and communications.
• Knowledge of financial services supervision and compliance practices, risk-based supervisory controls, financial markets, investment products, and securities industry operations.
• Knowledge of advertising, marketing, social media, digital communications, emerging communication channels, supervisory policies, quality assurance, and control frameworks within financial services.
• Ability to interpret regulations and policies in ambiguous situations, assess risk, research complex issues, and develop clear and defensible recommendations.
• Ability to communicate complex requirements clearly, manage competing priorities, independently advance multiple matters, build cross-functional relationships, and make well-supported decisions.
• Series 7, 24, and 63/65 or 66 licenses are required, or the ability to obtain the required licenses within an established timeframe.

• Additional licenses or certifications demonstrating expertise in securities regulation, supervision, advertising, marketing, or related areas.
