Securities Lending Associate (Fintech)

What you will do

• Issue recalls to cover securities deficits and fails to deliver.
• Approve customer short sale requests in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Review broker security needs lists and lend securities appropriately.
• Perform stock loan buy-ins and borrow securities from broker-dealers to cover internal needs.
• Complete daily reconciliations for stock loan accounts and assist with month-end billing for broker-dealers and correspondents.
• Support correspondents with questions about locates, hard-to-borrow charges, and buy-ins.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration.
• SIE license or completion within 3 months of hire.
• Detail-oriented approach and strong personal and professional accountability.
• Strong customer service focus and commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability and capacity to develop an understanding of finance and the securities lending business.
• Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• 1–3 years of experience on a securities lending desk, preferably in operations.
• Working knowledge of stock records and securities clearing.
