Senior II Security Compliance Specialist (Cloud Security)

Location: United States (Remote); role location listed as Cambridge, Massachusetts

Base salary for US-based candidates: $112,500–$202,500/year

What you will do

• Lead compliance assessments and readiness activities across cloud computing platforms and delivery services.
• Translate regulatory standards into actionable guidance for technical architecture and engineering teams.
• Evaluate technical architectures, control designs, and operational effectiveness against industry benchmarks.
• Conduct risk assessments and direct cross-functional remediation across technical teams.
• Develop security compliance playbooks, implementation documentation, and automated monitoring workflows.
• Mentor team members and represent the organization during external certification assessments and audits.

Requirements

• 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting major compliance frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or NIST.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, identity management, network security, and vulnerability management.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Familiarity with compliance automation tools, GRC platforms, and cloud service provider environments.
• Experience coordinating multi-organization audit evidence collection and leading external assessment engagements.
