Oracle Security Specialist (OCI)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $125,000–$145,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate security controls across OCI, Oracle Cloud Applications, and hybrid Oracle environments.
• Define security architecture and harden cloud workloads using cloud-native security frameworks and CIS benchmarks.
• Manage identity and access, including OCI Identity, IAM policies, and identity federation.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching, compliance, and threat detection initiatives.
• Respond to security incidents and integrate cloud workloads with SIEM platforms.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders while contributing to code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of cloud security experience, including strong hands-on OCI experience; six or more years of overall experience preferred.
• Deep experience with OCI Identity, IAM policies, identity federation, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 regulatory frameworks.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash, plus Terraform experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Security Professional certification.
• CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent security certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud security architectures, SOAR platforms, automated incident response, or zero-trust architecture patterns.
