Customer Security Compliance Specialist (AI)

Location: Hybrid; available in Austin, TX or New York City. Offer-stage candidates may be asked to attend an in-person interview at a hirify.global office or hub.

Salary: New York City hires receive an estimated annual salary of $125,000–$172,000; compensation may vary by work location.

What you will do

• Own complex customer security questionnaires, RFPs, and technical assessments using internal AI generation pipelines with human validation.
• Advise enterprise customers, Sales, and Legal teams on security posture, architecture, security questions, and contract terms.
• Host and coordinate on-site and virtual customer audits, guiding customers through controls, processes, and compliance evidence.
• Design and iterate AI-powered workflows and compliance assistants for questionnaire triage and security evidence retrieval.
• Structure, audit, and maintain authoritative repositories covering SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and global security regulations.
• Develop the customer Trust Portal, self-service resources, white papers, security blogs, and compliance mappings with Marketing and Engineering.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in security compliance, GRC, technical audit management, IT risk consulting, or customer-facing security assurance.
• Hands-on experience experimenting with, building, or configuring AI workflows, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation concepts, API-based automations, or internal agent configurations.
• Solid understanding of PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST SP 800-53.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to translate complex networking, infrastructure, and cryptographic concepts into clear customer responses and white papers.
• Comfort presenting to and answering questions from external customers, sales executives, and legal counsel.
• Ability to partner across Sales, Product, Legal, and Platform/AI Engineering teams.
• Familiarity with data structures, Markdown, APIs, or basic scripting such as Python, SQL, or shell for prototyping and inspecting model outputs.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Austin, TX or New York City.

Nice to have

• Practical cloud or network engineering experience.
• Deep familiarity with global privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
• Experience establishing automated operational metrics.
