Senior Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and oversee advanced security architectures protecting systems, data, and infrastructure.
• Build resilient, scalable, and compliant security operations environments for the SOC.
• Lead secure system design, integration of security controls, and alignment with NIST and FISMA requirements.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts, incident responders, engineering teams, and leadership.
• Design detection and response architectures and enterprise security reference architectures adopted by multiple agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5–7 years of experience designing secure system and network architectures for federal agencies.
• Cybersecurity architecture experience for federal systems.
• Extensive Zero Trust and cloud migration experience.
• Experience designing enterprise security reference architectures adopted by multiple agencies.
• Experience leading secure system design, control integration, and alignment to NIST and FISMA.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• One of the following certifications: CISSP-ISSAP/ISSEP, Splunk/SIEM, or AWS/Azure Solutions Architect Certification.
• Monday–Friday availability during regular business hours.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SIEM/SOAR platforms, endpoint security tools, cloud security technologies, and network security controls.
• Experience designing and implementing detection and response architectures.
• Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
