Senior Technical Project Manager (High Voltage Substations)

What you will do

• Lead and manage substation engineering for onshore substations, offshore wind projects, Power-to-X technologies, and energy transmission projects from bidding through execution, warranty completion, and handover to service.
• Coordinate overall single-line diagrams, substation layouts, electrotechnical drawings, and civil design inputs.
• Provide input to installation and commissioning planning.
• Support procurement teams with supplier selection, onboarding, and technical procurement of substation materials.
• Work with project managers, technical specialists, procurement, sales, and international business units.
• Perform quality assurance of supplier project deliverables.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in high-voltage substation design and engineering.
• Broad knowledge of substation subsystems, including Air Insulated Switchgear, Gas Insulated Switchgear, oil-filled components, compensation systems, HV and MV cable systems and terminations, auxiliary systems, and civil works.
• Experience working under Danish legislation 1608 and in high-voltage substations as an “Arbejdsleder” or in a similar position, with an understanding of site practicalities.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity in projects.
• Thorough understanding of subsystem interfaces and design flow, with the ability to break design work into appropriate planning steps.
• Project- and customer-focused approach with strong written and oral communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical colleagues and stakeholders.
• Proven supplier management skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
