NPC Manufacturing Engineer III (E3) (Etch)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite manufacturing role with travel up to 10% of the time. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $96,000.00–$132,000.00 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Coordinate product improvements and new-product releases with other engineering functions and manage manufacturing engineering projects.
• Lead the use of Design for Excellence principles to reduce manufacturing and product costs and improve quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate results and work methods, and identify root causes and corrective actions for assembly and system-testing issues.
• Support new products through the pilot line and PDP Engineering activities for commercialization into high-volume manufacturing; mentor and train junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of experience.
• Conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday job-related problem-solving.
• Ability to perform Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis and prepare reports as needed.
• Ability to work onsite with extended standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, work in tight spaces, and use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to distinguish between colors and work in a potentially noisy environment.
• Ability to work in a clean room and use required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
