Legal & Compliance Expert (AI)

Location: Fully remote, global, with no geographic restrictions.

Salary: $40–$100/hour; project details state compensation up to $90/hour equivalent and payment per approved task.

What you will do

• Design realistic, multi-step benchmark tasks based on legal and compliance workflows, including contract review, due diligence, regulatory assessments, and risk analysis.
• Develop clear instructions and objective grading criteria for consistent evaluation of AI systems’ reasoning, judgment, and accuracy.
• Create tasks requiring legal judgment, careful document interpretation, and analytical reasoning rather than simple information lookup.
• Prepare supporting materials such as agreements, policy documents, regulatory texts, and due diligence files.
• Identify ambiguous or ungradable tasks, refine them, and deliver approved tasks within project deadlines.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in contract review, due diligence, regulatory compliance, or risk management.
• Experience developing or applying structured review standards, compliance frameworks, due diligence protocols, playbooks, or training assessments.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify inconsistencies across multiple documents.
• Strong written and spoken English proficiency at B2 level minimum.

Nice to have

• C1 English proficiency.
• Law degree and bar admission, or an equivalent compliance qualification.
• Experience with AI or LLM evaluation.
