Financial Analyst

Location: Remote within the United States; employees cannot be hired from U.S. territories or Alaska, Hawaii, California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Pennsylvania, or Maine.

Salary: $69,310–$87,681 USD target hiring range; maximum salary $97,702 USD.

What you will do

• Consolidate and analyze budgets, income statements, forecasts, actual results, and prior-period data.
• Support annual budgeting with the Manager, FP&A, and analyze monthly project performance against expense and benefit expectations.
• Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis, and perform business studies of past, future, and comparative performance.
• Prepare sophisticated financial-status reports and analyze nonfinancial data, incorporating financial information when appropriate.
• Partner with management to understand reporting needs, identify trends, and recommend cost reductions and financial performance improvements.
• Reconcile transactions and drive process improvement and policy development initiatives affecting the function.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business plus three years of accounting or finance experience focused on analysis; alternatively, another bachelor’s degree plus six years of accounting or finance experience focused on analysis.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Ability to work with large data sets and business intelligence reporting tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and some understanding of accounting principles.
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Ability to maintain confidential information and protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
• For the home office: non-cellular high-speed internet such as fiber, DSL, or cable modem, with minimum 30 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds and latency below 80 ms. Hotspots, satellite, and wireless internet are not allowed; a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions is required.
