Senior Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with onsite attendance Tuesday through Thursday each week and additional onsite attendance as required by business needs.

What you will do

• Partner with business leaders to define objectives, detailed functional specifications, and technical roadmaps.
• Lead the definition of North Star metrics and KPIs to align departments and prevent data silos.
• Own source-to-target mappings, logic flowcharts, and business requirements documents.
• Identify internal and external data sources, conduct exploratory analysis, and surface data gaps and quality issues.
• Work with data engineers to design scalable pipelines and define business logic and transformation rules.
• Lead UAT, validate data integrity, and build reporting solutions in Tableau, Power BI, or internal tools with a focus on dashboard UX/UI and business adoption.

Requirements

• 4–8+ years of experience as a Senior Analyst or Analytics Consultant delivering data products end to end.
• Strong first-principles thinking and the ability to turn vague business requests into structured data projects with specific schemas, logic, and metrics.
• Skill with AI tools for quickly prototyping SQL logic, automating documentation, and identifying where machine learning can improve traditional reporting.
• Expert communication skills across technical and business audiences, including discussions of JOIN logic, latency, LTV, and churn-reduction strategy.
• Expert SQL skills, plus Python or R for data exploration, validation, and analysis.
• Working experience with dbt, Git, or similar tools.
• Deep skill in data visualization, dashboard building, and performance optimization, with hands-on experience in Tableau, Mode, Power BI, or similar tools.
