Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Košice, AT; hybrid work with Home Office available.

Minimum salary: EUR 3,200 gross per month for a full-time position; actual salary depends on professional and personal qualifications.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and operate a microservice architecture platform for corporate banking services.
• Build and maintain cloud-ready services using Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Take operational responsibility for team-owned services in a DevOps manner.
• Contribute to feature ideation, conceptual and planning phases, implementation, and shipping.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, and product owners to build solutions and gain insights.

Requirements

• Strong experience writing high-quality, maintainable Java code and a solid foundation in coding and building large enterprise applications.
• At least 3 years of recent, active experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and Java/Jakarta Enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with the challenges of microservices.
• Recent, active experience designing and building distributed and scalable systems on Kubernetes/OpenShift in a DevOps manner.
• Knowledge of continuous delivery, defensive programming, and automated testing.
• Professional experience in a product-driven environment.
