Associate, Post-Production Audio Mixer (Audio Post-Production)

Location: Mount Laurel, New Jersey, United States. In-office position with onsite presence required; remote and hybrid options are not offered. Standard schedule averages 40 hours per week, with availability required for early mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and other non-standard schedules as production demands.

Salary: $53–$63 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Perform dialogue editing, sound effects editing, audio restoration, repair, and cleanup across NFL Films productions.
• Create original sound designs that support storytelling objectives and enhance the viewer experience.
• Execute re-recording mixes for documentary, long-form, short-form, commercial, sports, and digital content.
• Deliver final mixes and mix stems according to production, broadcast, and distribution specifications.
• Mix and deliver content in stereo, surround sound, and Dolby Atmos formats using DaVinci Resolve Fairlight and other industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with producers, editors, composers, and other creative stakeholders while troubleshooting workflows, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Audio Engineering, Recording Arts, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• At least 10 years of professional experience as a Sound Designer and/or Re-Recording Mixer in a post-production environment.
• Demonstrated experience producing documentary, sports, commercial, and long-form content.
• Advanced knowledge of mix stem creation and delivery workflows.
• Extensive experience mixing in stereo, surround, and Dolby Atmos environments.
• Strong understanding of digital audio workstations, audio signal flow, and contemporary post-production techniques.
• Proficiency with audio restoration, repair, and cleanup tools, including iZotope RX.
• Ability to maintain high-quality output under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Strong creative instincts, storytelling through sound, collaboration, attention to detail, organization, adaptability, and solution-oriented problem solving.

Nice to have

• Experience working in sports, entertainment, or broadcast media environments.
• Advanced proficiency with DaVinci Resolve Fairlight.
• Familiarity with evolving audio standards and emerging post-production technologies.
