Software Development Engineer (AWS Security)

Location: Courbevoie, France; onsite. This role requires candidates to be nationals of an EU Member State.

What you will do

• Design and deliver features for automation platforms supporting threat detection, security risk remediation, incident response, and foundational AWS Security services.
• Own operational excellence by instrumenting systems, configuring effective alarms, and replacing manual work with automation.
• Write tested, maintainable code and create documentation and runbooks for system operation and extension.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, resolve high-severity incidents, and implement permanent fixes for their contributing causes.
• Improve the resiliency, scalability, safety, and long-term maintainability of systems operating at very high scale.
• Contribute through code, design, operational readiness, and post-incident reviews; mentor newer teammates and interns and collaborate with partner teams.

Requirements

• Nationality of an EU Member State is required.
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Programming experience in at least one of Java, Python, or TypeScript.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience building and operating scalable, highly available production systems and owning their operational excellence.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and AWS cloud technologies.
• Experience rapidly prototyping new systems and solutions.
• Familiarity with security automation, threat detection, or incident response tooling.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Meeting or exceeding hirify.global leadership principles and functional and technical depth requirements for the role.
