Core Manufacturing Manager (Advanced Composites)

Location: UK - Duxford. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.

hirify.global manufactures advanced composite materials, including carbon fiber, woven reinforcements, resins, prepregs, honeycombs, and additive manufactured parts for global markets, including commercial aerospace.

What you will do

• Lead a safe manufacturing environment and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Manage production operations against quality, cost, delivery, and performance targets.
• Develop annual production plans and support business objectives.
• Lead, develop, and performance-manage a team of more than 50 employees, including supervisors and technical staff.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and other improvement tools.
• Manage manufacturing assets, inventory, and resources; support new product, process, and technology transfers; resolve quality issues; and collaborate with planning, maintenance, engineering, and R&D.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or Materials Science.
• Manufacturing experience at supervisory or management level, with proven communication skills at all levels.
• Experience working with a diverse range of technologies and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to set priorities and address problems in a timely manner.
• Experience working to deadlines and effectively within a team.
• Good planning and leadership skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency is essential, including a high level of skill and experience with Excel.
• Eligibility to work in the country where the position is based.

Nice to have

• Experience with 9 Phase root cause analysis, Lean Six Sigma, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis, or Kaizen.
• Experience using Minitab.
