Shift Process Engineer

Location: Caswell, Towcester, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom. The role operates 24x7 on rotating 12-hour shifts, and candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.

What you will do

• Act as the first point of contact for wafer fab process issues and provide written handovers at the end of each shift.
• Review and resolve process issues to support smooth fab operations, including material release and application of holds.
• Coordinate timely tool re-qualification following maintenance activities.
• Support scrap and near-miss events through rapid triage and resolution.
• Generate and implement process deviations for out-of-specification events and non-standard work.
• Create measurement macros for new products as lots arrive at measurement tools.

Requirements

• HNC or degree in a science or engineering discipline, or relevant experience at technician or senior operator level.
• Wafer fab cleanroom experience and comfort wearing cleanroom clothing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems such as PROMIS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during out-of-hours shifts and under pressure.
• Eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
• Experience with computer-controlled semiconductor processing equipment.
• Recent graduate or experienced technician background.
