Billing System Engineer (Comarch BSS)

Location: Remote, Kraków, Poland

Provides out-of-home e-commerce parcel delivery and fulfilment services through automated parcel machines, pick-up and drop-off points, courier delivery, and technology-driven logistics solutions across Europe.

What you will do

• Maintain and configure the Comarch BSS platform, including Product Catalog, Billing, and Billing Mediation.
• Monitor platform performance, system jobs, error logs, runtime incidents, interfaces, and integrations to maintain uninterrupted data flows.
• Investigate data issues, identify root causes, and resolve technical problems.
• Support backup and recovery processes, system availability, audit controls, security requirements, and compliance activities.
• Configure data connections and integrations, taking technical ownership after implementation.
• Follow the BSS roadmap, maintain technical documentation, run Proofs of Concept, and contribute to upgrades, patches, and new functionality.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience with Comarch BSS, particularly Product Catalog, Billing, or Billing Mediation.
• SQL experience for data analysis, record tracing, and troubleshooting.
• At least two years of experience with enterprise system integrations and integration tools.
• Understanding of billing processes, including invoicing, rating, and usage-based billing.
• Familiarity with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases and Elasticsearch.
• Practical experience with Linux, REST API testing, and Apache Kafka.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Active use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or GitHub Copilot for log analysis, SQL query generation and optimization, technical documentation, or initial issue diagnosis.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, data warehouses, or event-streaming solutions.
• Knowledge of Apache Cassandra.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes.
• English proficiency at C1 level.
