Engineering Technical Lead (.NET)

Location: Hybrid working in Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, or Marlow, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Build engineering standards and drive a consistent, team-wide approach to quality.
• Contribute high-quality production code, refactor existing code, and solve complex technical problems.
• Set technical direction through architectural decisions, reusable patterns, and pragmatic trade-offs.
• Raise squad capability by supporting and developing junior engineers.
• Help the team break down work, remove blockers, and deliver consistently.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, and design discussions focused on engineering excellence.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, operating at Senior Engineer or Technical Lead level.
• Strong commercial experience with .NET Core, C#, and SQL.
• Proven ability to design and reason about distributed systems and modern application architectures.
• Comfort working in Agile and squad-based environments and influencing delivery without formal authority.
• Solid experience with cloud platforms, including Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with Git and version control.
