Head of Business Systems Analysis and Engineering (AI)

Location: Remote, office, or hybrid work from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, or The Netherlands.

Salary: EUR 6900–7300 per month gross. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth. Up to an additional USD 1,000 per month may be earned through company activities and included in the annual bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and implement business and systems analysis strategies for complex IT projects.
• Define and evolve requirements management standards, processes, tools, metrics, and workflows across greenfield development, legacy systems, off-the-shelf solutions, and integrations.
• Introduce AI tools, automation, assistants, and models to improve analyst efficiency, requirements traceability, consistency, and automatic artifact generation.
• Create and maintain BRD, SRS, User Stories, Use Cases, BPMN, UML, and ERD documentation while aligning functional and non-functional requirements with development, architecture, and business teams.
• Embed requirements analysis into end-to-end SDLC processes using Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies, including low-code/no-code and BPM automation flows where feasible.
• Lead and develop the analyst community through mentoring, training, best practices, talent pools, risk mitigation, and resolution of process conflicts, resistance to change, and skill gaps.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Lead Business Analyst.
• Experience as a System Analyst with a solid understanding of IT system architecture.
• Experience leading the QA/BA function on large-scale projects with 100+ team members and 5+ direct reports.
• Practical experience implementing and optimizing tools and processes, including hands-on practice building the function, mentoring, and owning its quality.
• Experience in enterprise environments, transformation initiatives, centers of excellence, and digital transformations within large enterprise companies.
• Hands-on experience optimizing requirements processes and implementing automation tools such as Jira, Confluence, BPMN, and data tools.
• Deep knowledge of requirements analysis and management methodologies, including BABOK and IIBA.
• Strong BPMN, UML, and ERD modeling skills with Enterprise Architect, Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent tools.
• Experience writing BRD, SRS, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria, plus practical experience applying Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall in cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of REST API principles, microservice architecture, and integration solutions.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate or above.

Nice to have

• Proven cases of implementing tools and methods for analysis process optimization, including A/B testing, analytics, and routine automation.
• CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar certifications.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Jama, or other requirements management tools.
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles and experience with Figma or Sketch.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• SQL proficiency for data analysis.
• Experience with high-load systems.
