Director, Technology Adoption, Engagement & Transformation (AI)

Location: China — Shanghai; other possible locations include Beijing, Hangzhou, and Dalian

What you will do

• Translate CEI and Business Unit priorities into an integrated technology adoption, roadmap, demand, and portfolio agenda aligned with global Digital & Technology.
• Lead senior technology engagement and transformation for legacy and AI-enabled products, carrying market signals into intake, prioritization, and POD formation.
• Lead product and portfolio lifecycle decisions, including reuse-before-build and choices to operate, modernize, industrialize, or retire products.
• Connect technology, workflow redesign, change, adoption, and value realization across business and operating-model transformation.
• Design customer and colleague journeys, user experiences, agent hand-offs, and Business Unit adaptations while establishing adoption telemetry, service integration, and a service catalogue.
• Coordinate governance stage gates with Legal, Privacy, Risk, Compliance, and Security; scout emerging technologies and enable PODs to transition into sustainable ownership.

Requirements

• Experience with technology stack and adoption, business engagement, transformation leadership, product and portfolio lifecycle management, and executive stakeholder management.
• Experience in experience and workflow design, adoption and change, telemetry, service integration, technology scouting, value realization, and POD operating models.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Digital Business, Design, or a closely related discipline.
• Typically 15+ years of progressive relevant experience, including several years leading teams and delivery at a comparable level of scope and complexity.
• Ability to work across business, product, technology, data, and governance stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to apply responsible AI, reuse, architecture, security, privacy, and scale principles.
• Ability to connect decisions to measurable business, user, service, and transformation outcomes and continuously improve delivery using evidence and telemetry.
• Ability to lead cross-functional execution, clarify accountability, reduce handoff friction, and drive transformation and measurable value realization.

Nice to have

• Advanced technical or business degree.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry and in the China technology, data, privacy, or vendor environment.
