Senior Product Designer (Identity Security)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work with required in-person orientation and attendance at the Toronto office 2 days per week.

Annual base salary: $118,000–$162,000 CAD, plus equity where applicable, bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive and execute product design strategy for identity threat protection and essential security products, connecting user experience with business outcomes.
• Frame problems and explore solutions with user research, UX writing, product management, engineering, marketing, and data science.
• Design end-to-end flows for IT administrators, security administrators, and end users across complex Okta portfolio use cases.
• Develop scalable, usable design patterns that improve product quality, efficiency, and consistency.
• Present concepts and design work to cross-functional teams, adjacent teams, and senior leadership to influence product decisions.
• Use AI thoughtfully for brainstorming, iteration, prototyping, and collaboration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
• Portfolio demonstrating complex and challenging technical projects across generative and evaluative research, discovery, interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and other stages of the design process.
• Experience incorporating AI into the design process, including crafting tools, iterating collaboratively with AI, and documenting sophisticated prompts for scaled use.
• Ability to deliver real user value in fast-moving, complex environments while connecting user needs across a broad product portfolio.
• Ability to own the full design process from early discovery through final execution and handoff, collaborating across design, product, and engineering teams.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and determine when to lead or learn.
• Ability to build empathy with users and deeply understand their needs.
• Ability to partner with Product Management and Engineering on strategic and operational product and UX outcomes.
• Strong storytelling skills for communicating design ideas to a range of stakeholders.
