HVAC System Engineer

Location: Akashi, Japan; onsite five days a week.

Develop engineering solutions for construction and heavy equipment through collaboration with manufacturing, quality, supplier, and global engineering teams.

What you will do

• Define requirements, technical specifications, and designs for HVAC systems and related Operator Station components.
• Collaborate with suppliers on product development, design reviews, technical discussions, and issue resolution.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate component- and system-level performance, environmental, and durability validation activities.
• Investigate product quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, validation, and global engineering teams on new product development, quality improvement, and cost reduction.

Requirements

• Experience defining and managing product requirements and technical specifications.
• Strong data analysis, performance evaluation, and engineering problem-solving skills.
• Experience planning and executing component- and system-level validation activities.
• Knowledge of product development processes and experience collaborating with suppliers.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience leading technical discussions and coordinating development activities with suppliers.
• Ability to work effectively in global engineering environments.
