Senior Engineering and AI Program Manager (Andover, MA and Ft. Collins, CO)

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of 2 days per week at an HPE office in Andover, Massachusetts, or Ft. Collins, Colorado, United States.

Salary: Annual base salary of USD 130,500–247,500 in Colorado or USD 140,500–267,500 in Massachusetts. Variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Lead program management for AI innovation and strategic initiatives from concept through deployment, adoption, and measurable business outcomes.
• Partner with engineers, architects, data scientists, innovation teams, product stakeholders, and internal development and manufacturing partners.
• Develop schedules, critical deliverables, budgets, resource allocation plans, and other program support requirements.
• Manage supporting project teams, track progress against plans, and adjust schedules and resource allocation based on business analysis.
• Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to stakeholders and senior management.
• Recommend and implement changes to products, processes, and business practices while maintaining alignment with roadmaps, budgets, and schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
• 6–10 years of engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of AI, Generative AI, LLMs, intelligent agents, and emerging AI technologies, with the ability to program manage AI initiatives from concept through deployment.
• Experience leading cross-functional programs involving emerging technologies, including stakeholder coordination, roadmap management, outcome tracking, and adoption.
• Ability to translate technical AI concepts into actionable business and operational plans aligned with engineering, innovation, and business objectives.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated business acumen and experience managing all aspects of programs, communicating with stakeholders, and directing matrixed teams and resources.
• Ability to communicate program plans, proposals, and results and negotiate options at senior management levels.
• Mastery in English.

Nice to have

• PMP/PMI certification.
• Experience supporting or leading AI innovation programs, incubations, proofs of concept, pilots, or AI-enabled transformation initiatives.
• Experience with performance engineering, benchmarking, scalability, optimization, or performance analytics in enterprise software or cloud environments.
• Experience with a Performance Center of Excellence or similar cross-functional technical governance organization.
