Location: Remote, United States; U.S. work authorization required. The role is associated with Chicago - 550 Van Buren.

Base salary: $110,000–$150,000 USD annually. Total estimated compensation, including annual incentive compensation: $126,500–$172,500 USD.

Company

hirify.global helps healthcare organizations improve growth, operational performance, clinical outcomes, technology capabilities, and patient and consumer experiences.

What you will do

  • Operate and monitor clinical data pipelines across 10+ concurrent client environments, triaging missing data, invalid data, processing failures, and application issues.
  • Set up, configure, deploy, and support client-facing application environments from provisioning through go-live stabilization and ongoing production monitoring.
  • Provision client environments, including SFTP ingestion, database and instance setup, access controls, file formats, schedules, encryption, and coordination with client IT teams.
  • Build and maintain ingestion pipelines, validation scripts, data integrity alerts, volume QC dashboards, and monitoring for pipeline health.
  • Support AWS infrastructure, Lambda functions, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, Docker-based deployments, Posit Connect administration, security controls, certificates, credentials, and repository governance.
  • Investigate root causes, implement temporary fixes and permanent remediation, maintain operational runbooks, support compliance and PHI documentation, and execute client offboarding.

Requirements

  • U.S. work authorization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3+ years of experience in data engineering, DevOps, or DataOps, including hands-on production data pipeline support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS data pipeline infrastructure, including S3, Athena, Lambda, EC2, and event-driven architectures using SNS/SQS.
  • Strong Python scripting skills for data ingestion, validation, and pipeline automation, with Bash proficiency.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or equivalent and Git-based version control, including branch protection and pull request workflows.
  • Experience setting up, configuring, and supporting application deployments, not only writing pipeline code.
  • Experience managing multi-client or multi-tenant data environments, including onboarding and provisioning new environments.
  • Experience with incident response and root cause analysis for data pipeline and application issues; the role requires operations-focused work in addition to development.
  • Ability to work as a generalist across infrastructure, data engineering, and DevOps in a fast-moving, client-driven environment.

Nice to have

  • Snowflake or other modern cloud data warehouse experience.
  • Posit Connect or R/Shiny environment familiarity.
  • Docker and containerized deployment experience.
  • SAML/SSO certificate management and cloud security experience, including IAM key rotation and PGP encryption.
  • Healthcare data environment experience, including SFTP clinical file delivery, PHI handling, or HL7/ADT.
  • Experience building monitoring and alerting systems for data pipelines.
  • Occasional direct coordination with client IT teams regarding file delivery, certificate renewals, and data quality.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work supports healthcare organizations, clinical outcomes, patient care, and consumer-centric healthcare experiences.
  • Collaboration with the DataOps lead, engineering organization, client IT teams, and client delivery stakeholders.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Other wellness programs and eligibility for annual incentive compensation.
  • Work involves multiple client environments and changing priorities in a client-driven setting.
